Battles Gridman (バトルスグリッドマン) is the Super God Combination (超神合体) form of Gridman (Primal Fighter) after docking with the Assist Weapon "Battle Hanger" through the access code Grand Omega Cross (グランドオメガクロス, Gurando Omega Kurosu). This form is only exclusive as part of the Gridman Universe project's original story, Diaclone VS. Gridman, a collaboration with Takara Tomy's Diaclone toyline (previously Takara) of the Transformers franchise.
Technical Overview[]
Based on the Dia-Battles line-up, the Earth Defense Organisation, Diaclone used the battle data following Hikari's union with Gridman, and developed an all-new fighter unit which systemises as Gridman's new armor. Equipped with the Double Freezon Beam Cannons and Battles Photon Cutter Wing
Specifications[]
Primal Fighter (プライマルファイター, Puraimaru Faitā) is Gridman's optimized normal form as in SSSS.Gridman. The armor covering seals his true form along with the Tri-Justers that emit the Fixer Beam, and is discarded once he is restored to his true self.

- Rocket Thrusters: Gridman has rocket thrusters on his back and underneath his feet to give him flight, soften his landing, or boost himself.

The Battle Hanger (バトルハンガー) is Gridman's new assist weapon in the Diaclone VS. Gridman. A Combat Support Aircraft built during the mid 202Xs based on Dia-Battles' data. The whole body is the armoire unit while piloted by the Bullet Fighter (ボレットファイター), a small detachable unit that serves as aerial support by docking with other Dia-Battle units.

- Double Freezon Beam Cannon (ダブルフリーゾン・ビームキャノン, Daburu Furīzon Bīmu Kyanon): Twin long-range cannons that fire energy bullets when docked with the Battle Hanger's cannon unit.
- Battles Photon Cutter Wing (バトルス・光子カッターウイング, Batorusu Kōshi Kattā Uingu): Photon-powered wings to slice enemies with when docked with the Battle Hanger's wing unit.
- Ride Attack Mode (ライドアタックモード): Gridman rides atop as it assists in accelerating mid-air battle.
Artiler Mode (A Mode) (Aモード, A Mōdo) is the standard formation of Battles Gridman. It can further change into Full Attack Mode (フルアタックモード Furu Atakku Mōdo) by raising the shoulder cannons and unleashing the Power Vise.

- Battles Photon Cutter Wing (バトルス・光子カッターウイング, Batorusu Kōshi Kattā Uingu): The wing units that stores photon-energy for slice enemies in close combat.
Battle Mode (B Mode) (Bモード, B mōdo) is an alternate configuration that provides Gridman with more freedom of movement for greater mobility in melee combat, whereby the cannon and wing back units are detached and instead placed on the Bullet Fighter.

The action figure was sold as a "Battles Gridman" version which included the Battle Hanger, and a "Diaclone vs Gridman" version which included the Hikari Kaizaki figure. These figures could be combined with all of the sets in the Diaclone toy line. The Gridman figure stands about 5.5" tall. Several battle suits were available as well (each sold separately).
