Buster Gridman (バスターグリッドマン, Basutā Guriddoman) is the Full Armor Combination (武装合体超人, Busō Gattai Chōjinn) form of Gridman and Borr in his Buster Borr access form introduced in SSSS.GRIDMAN.
Technical Overview[]
Buster Gridman is Gridman's artillery upgrade form when combined with the Buster Borr, where it becomes a chestplate attachment with extra arsenal and increasing the latter's durability with additional firepower. Suited for long-range artillery combat, Gridman can fire his salvo his arsenal from the Gatling Beam Guns and Missile Launchers on Borr's treads and the twin drills which can switch between Driller Mode (ドリラーモード, Dorirā Mōdo), and Buster Mode (バスターモード, Basutā Mōdo), with Borr's operable mind in assist Gridman to lock-on to its targets with the correct arsenal.
In this form, Gridman can switch between Drill Attack Mode (ドリルアタックモード, Doriru Atakku Mōdo) and Terrain Travel Mode (地上走行モード, Chijō Sōkō Mōdo) using Buster Borr's wheels to gain additional speed on land.
Attacks & Abilities[]
- Gatling Beam Guns (ガトリングビームガン, Gatoringu Bīmu Gan): Buster Borr's rear encircling wheels become a pair 6-barreled gatling guns for rapid-firing.
- Forrester Extinguisher Missiles (フォレスター消火弾, Foresutā Shōka-dan): Fired for fire-related disaster reliefs over wide areas.
- Buster Grid Missiles (バスターグリッドミサイル,, Basutā Guriddo Misairu): Conventional missiles fired from a pair of 6-barreled launchers from Buster Borr's treads.
- Twin Drills (ツインドリル, Tsuin Doriru): The drills of Buster Borr which can mode switch between its default Driller Mode, and its open Buster Mode revealing its plasma cannons.
- Twin Buster Grid Beam (ツインバスターグリッドビーム, Tsuin Basutā Guriddo Bīmu): An enhanced variation of Gridman's Grid Beam, fired from the Twin Drills in Buster Mode. While not as devastating as the Max Grid Beam, it is destructive enough to destroy Go'yavec into smithereens.

- The form is compared to the following controversies from other mecha anime.
- The Sun Brave Fighbird: The element combination sequence where Buster Borr's chest plate flies to Gridman's chest is a reference to Great Fighbird's combination scene. In addition, the form is capable of launching a full salvo of its artillery like Armed Fighbird.
- Buster Gridman's terrain modes were never used in the series proper, though appearing briefly in the opening, and shown in SSSS.GRIDMAN NOVELIZATIONS against Anti.
