The Decisive Battle! The End of the Hero (Part 1) (決戦! ヒーローの最期 (前編), Kessen! Hīrō no Saigo (Zenpen)), is the twenty-fifth episode of Gridman the Hyper Agent.
Kaiju of the week: Venora
Synopsis[]
Gridman fights Venora, who invaded the smoke ventilation system of a factory!
Summary[]
The gang bike over to their favorite computer store, only to find it closed up. The recent incidents caused by Khan Digifer have been bad for the computer business. They also see a family packing a moving van, telling people that the incidents in the city have frightened them, which is why they are leaving. The kids ponder whether their battles are worth it, when everyone still ends up hurt and scared like this.
Takeshi Todo is troubled by all of the air pollution in town. He writes a kaiju program, intending to attack the factory that he was walking past. Khan Digifer suggests adding something to defeat Gridman. Khan then empowers the kaiju, bringing it to life. It materializes within the Computer World node at the factory. It damages the smoke processing systems so that the smokestacks emit immense volumes of poisoned smoke.
Gridman detects the kaiju rampage, and combines with Naoto Sho to fight back. He arrives and fights with Venora. Venora then sends a poison-gas attack. It affects Gridman’s mind, giving him hallucinations of previous battles, and he can’t fight. Pleased with how it is going, Takeshi projects a gigantic video image of the battle into the sky above Sakuragaoka. Venora takes his time giving Gridman a severe beating. As a last resort, Yuka and Ippei send the Assist Weapon Dragon Fortress to help. With Yuka working the remote control, it transforms into Dyna Dragon, but it’s too late, and Gridman’s power times out, and he passes out.
